flintstone push pops are also fantastic

okay. pet peeve. almost every time i get to write on this thing, i have some deep passionate something or another i want to ooze all over the computer screen. thank everything wonderful that i don't publish most of the oozing that goes on in my head. it's like i have motivational speaker's syndrome that compels me to wade and wallow in poignant phrases and stirring words of wisdom. gross. did you know that during the immense hours i would put in at hale library, i would fantasize about standing up on the tables to rouse the slumbering collegiate masses into frenzy and action? i never really cared why i would be creating such an uproar as long as it included a wicked speech and a misty-eyed, heart-felt thundering mob in response.

sigh.

i think that's why i've rebelled and posted utter nonsense lately. it's like having rainbow sherbet after having months and months worth of nothing but quadruple fudge rich-craziness. i mean think about it. as much as i adore all things fudgy, you can only take so much of it shoved down your throat before you start to scream and run away from the mere sight of a brownie sundae or chocolate volcano melt down. rainbow sherbet, on the other hand, remains as light and fruity and wonderful as ever. it doesn't have all the weightiness of it's fudgy competition. no one is going to see a bowl of rainbow sherbet and think "romance" or "aphrodisiac" or "addiction." no friends, i look at a bowl of rainbow sherbet and think of how funny it looks and how sticky my face is going to be after i down it in a very unlady like manner.

so here's to you, rainbow sherbet. may you never bring out anything other than childish immaturity and joy.

  1. i would honestly take rainbow sherbet over fudginess anyday. i'm not sure i like the symbolic ramifications of that statement though... ;P
