victory of the people.

i haven't been here long and already God is flipping everything upside down. man, never should i think that i have it figured out.

i'm kind of excited :) though i should probably be ecstatic. no matter.

so my name comes from the greek goddess nike, who is the goddess of victory. too bad greek mythology is lame. BUT i do think there is something with names. specifically my name means victory of the people or victorious spirit. funny that strength, courage, and standing up as a warrior are what people tend to pray for me most often.

maybe i'm wrong about this name thing though. after all brock's name means badger and his middle name, allyn, is actually a girl's name (not to mention that he actually has two birth certificates because one says "brooke"). so i'm not quite sure what that means for him. if his parents would have gone with allen he would have been "handsome" and "bright" but no. he's a female badger which, like a pig, is called a sow. he did always want to be a stay at home dad. and he does occasional speak in grunts. but on the plus side, badgers are carnivores, so that helps with his man status. they are also pretty wicked if cornered and supposedly even hunt with coyotes sometimes. :)
